Japa 505 brings power and productivity for large-scale firewood production
4.12.2024
The Japa 505 combines ease of use, safety, and efficiency for professional production of high-quality firewood, capable of processing logs up to 50 cm in diameter. Its intelligent hydraulic system automatically optimizes machine performance. The Japa 505 is available in two configurations, Japa 505 and Japa 505 Pro. Users can choose between a 15-kW electric motor, tractor PTO, or a combination of both, allowing for even greater flexibility in operation.
“Japa 505 meets our customers’ demands by offering the largest maximum log diameter in the Japa lineup, at 50 cm. The machine was developed entirely based on customer feedback, including the addition of an electric chain lubrication pump, a much-requested feature for cutting large and hard logs. This system delivers continuous lubrication during cutting instead of a single pulse, ensuring better lubrication and a longer blade life, even in demanding conditions,” explains Ville Kairus, Aftermarket Manager involved in the product’s development.
True to the Japa tradition, the Japa 505 also provides easy access to productivity data. Through the machine’s control panel display, users can adjust settings and monitor usage metrics such as working hours, firewood volume, and maintenance needs. This helps plan work and maintenance effectively, extending the machine’s lifespan and reliability.
Japa 505 – Key features designed with customer needs in mind
Perfect Cut – precise firewood length, electric chain lubrication pump, one-button operation, and hydraulic chain tensioner
The innovative Perfect Cut system ensures precise and smooth cutting. A hydraulically retractable log stop guarantees accurate firewood length and prevents logs from getting stuck between the stop plate and the saw bar during and after cutting. Cutting is done with ease via a single button, which is held down throughout the cutting process. The electric chain lubrication pump replaces the traditional hydraulic pump, providing consistent lubrication throughout cutting, even for large and hard logs, thus extending the chain’s lifespan. Additionally, the hydraulic chain tensioner is now a standard feature, ensuring the chain remains optimally tensioned for smooth and safe operation.
Advanced fault diagnostics
The Japa 505 is equipped with multiple sensors that monitor and control the machine’s functions in real time. Pressure sensors simplify troubleshooting, allowing users to quickly address issues and keep the machine running.
Increased splitting speed
A new splitting hydraulic system delivers faster splitting cycles while accommodating larger log diameters.
Joystick-controlled log press
For improved workflow and ergonomics, the hydraulic log press is now operated with a joystick button instead of a separate lever.
Conveyor stop and reverse
The out-feed conveyor can now be stopped or reversed, improving control and allowing for problem resolution directly via the control panel, without the need to manually clear firewood.
